Forest Succulent Decorative Block

This wooden block was hand cut and sanded by me from a leftover plank I had after building a workbench! I use a reciprocating saw and a hand sander to cut them and sand them smooth with 220 grit sandpaper.

We're not the only deer in the forest!

The background of this painting was inspired from a photo taken on a hike I took with my fiancé. While walking to Dream Lake in Rocky Mountain National Park, there was a moment when three deer went to cross the trail. Silence fell as everyone stopped to watch the gentle creatures continue on their own trail up a ridge. The succulent is one of my own and taking care of it brings me to a similar place of peace as seeing the deer.

This block can be used as a decoration on any surface in any room!
